| Description | McTaggart Construction was appointed via a competitive tender exercise to deliver 22 social housing units on Ardencraig Road in the Castlemilk area for Ardenglen Housing Association. Our works comprised of the construction of 22 residential properties consisting of cottage flats, houses and wheelchair accessible flats with associated infrastructure with trench fill/concrete foundations, new roads, parking areas, services, utilities to the properties, landscaping and drainage works.    The buildings superstructure is of timber frame construction, brick clad below a trussed rafter roof and concrete tiles on concrete foundations. Works also included all associated plumbing, heating, ventilation and electrical installation, solar PV panels and decoration works. The units are built to Silver Standard Aspects 1, 2 & 3 in terms of energy efficiency. It also achieved Secured by Design accreditation and complied with the Housing for Varying Needs standards. |
