Tom McCombe, Site Manager for the Oban Drive site in North Kelvinside, Glasgow, visited Belhaven Nursery School to deliver some interesting construction toys.
Tom delivered a shiny new yellow digger toy and a book about construction aimed specifically at nursery age children.
The children were delighted to have the opportunity to talk to a ‘real builder’ about the houses being constructed next to their Nursery and had lots of questions for Tom.
The children and staff have been watching the site with interest and regularly discuss the machinery they can see on site and how it is used. They also had the opportunity to wear little hard hats and hi-vis vests and walk round the boundary fences, looking at the construction going on.
The site is constructing 128 housing units, both for affordable rent and private sale and is expected to complete in April 2013.
